In today’s business landscape, sustainability is no longer a choice but an indispensable requirement. In a context where environmental and social challenges are increasingly present, companies are being called upon to play an active role in promoting responsible consumption and production practices, as well as in the fight against climate change.

The United Nations 2030 Agenda

The 2030 Agenda is a global action plan adopted by world leaders in 2015, with the aim of eradicating poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all. It consists of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that address urgent challenges such as climate change, inequality, poverty and environmental degradation. This agenda provides a comprehensive framework for action at all levels, from governments to business and civil society, to build a more just, equitable and sustainable world for present and future generations.

Within the United Nations 2030 Agenda, the Sustainable Development Goals represent a global roadmap to address current challenges and promote sustainable development in all its dimensions. In this context, points 12 and 13 highlight the importance of corporate sustainability in Condensa.

Within the 2030 Agenda, SDG 12 emphasizes the need to adopt responsible consumption and production practices that minimize the negative impact on the environment and society. Implementing such practices is not only an ethical imperative, but also a smart business strategy. According to Nielsen data, 66% of consumers are willing to pay more for products from brands committed to sustainability.

Furthermore, SDG 13 calls for urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. In this context, companies play a key role, as their business activities are closely linked to carbon emissions and the consumption of natural resources. Adopting sustainable solutions can help companies mitigate the risks associated with climate change and improve their reputation among consumers.

Business Benefits of Sustainability

Beyond its ethical and social implications, business sustainability offers a number of tangible benefits for companies, including:

– Reduced operating costs through the implementation of more efficient practices and the use of renewable energy sources.

– Access to new markets and customers committed to sustainability.

– Improved brand reputation and customer loyalty.

– Mitigation of risks related to climate change and environmental regulation.

Corporate sustainability is no longer an option, but an urgent necessity today. Companies that adopt sustainable practices are ensuring their long-term viability, as well as their ability to compete in an increasingly aware and demanding marketplace. Integrating sustainability into the heart of operations is not only key to future success, but also to creating a more equitable and sustainable world for generations to come.

Corporate Sustainability: What Do Consumers Really Value?

Today, corporate sustainability has become a priority for both companies and consumers. However, a recent Nielsen analysis reveals a potential disconnect between what companies consider sustainable practices and what consumers actually value. Sustainable packaging stands out as the most important aspect for nearly 50% of respondents, followed by waste reduction and the use of renewable energy, with about 40% support. In addition, responsible sourcing of natural materials is also a key factor. To close the gap between business perceptions and consumer expectations, companies must clearly communicate their sustainability efforts, which will enable them to gain the trust and loyalty of their customers in an increasingly environmentally conscious marketplace.
